Situating Serenity is a blog that I co-authored in April of 2017, exploring serenity in the city. By searching within philosophy, urban studies, and the streets of Malmö for inner peace, we managed to get some steps closer to how we can create a public space in which the city and its inhabitants can take a deep breath and recharge without being expected to consume or produce. Parts of the research were: literature analysis, an interview with the Korean artist behind the Space-Out Competition WoopsYang, explorations in methodology, recording soundscapes, and more. Some of the insights from the blog fed into the artistic/activist research project Caroli Park.
